Role Overview
As a Staff DevSecOps Engineer, you will own the deployment and optimization of our SIEM, and work closely with the DevOps team to harden and optimize the security of our cloud infrastructure and our CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on SIEM detection engineering and cloud security / DevSecOps.
This role reports directly to the CISO, and collaborates closely with the Security and IT teams to work across our tech stack on an as-needed basis.
While the term "DevSecOps" can have different interpretations, this position is focused on security engineering rather than general DevOps responsibilities. Berachain is looking for candidates with strong security expertise and a mindset geared toward identifying and addressing potential threats. Success in this role requires the ability to anticipate how real-world adversaries might approach a system, as well as a collaborative and empathetic approach when working with engineering teams.
Requirements
10+ years experience as a security engineer
2-4 years experience detection engineering across at least two different SIEMs
5-10 years cloud security experience, AWS and/or GCP
Deep experience securing CI / CD pipelines
IaC / Terraform / all the modern cloud native skills
Master of k8s security
Desirable knowledge
Minimum two (2) years of experience as a developer
Experience with MPC
Experience with HSMs
Experience with TEEs
