The ideal candidate for this role takes initiative and ownership over their work, thrives in a fast-paced and highly collaborative in-person environment, and is capable of rapidly adapting to evolving needs as required.
5+ years of experience in data science or related fields.
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization techniques.
Experience with big data technologies and databases such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, and Spark.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
Familiarity with blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized finance protocols.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A passion for innovation and problem-solving, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Track and analyze key parameters for decentralized finance protocols, including liquidity, trading volume, transaction fees, and other metrics that impact system safety and stability.
Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms to identify anomalies, trends, and patterns in protocol data, and use this information to make recommendations for system improvements.
Collaborate with software engineers, developers, and product managers to implement and test new features and enhancements to the protocol, based on insights gained from data analysis.
Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement monitoring and alerting systems that detect and mitigate risks to the protocol.
Communicate data insights and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, using visualizations, reports, and other communication tools.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and best practices in decentralized finance and data science, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
